A Ministry Resource for the Local Church

A 52-Week Journey of Generosity

by Mark Tennant

The Need

Generosity, Without the Awkwardness

Talking about money in the church is rarely simple. It can feel like a conversation that sits too close to pressure, or one we postpone until the need is already urgent.

Stewardship Framework was written to meet a congregation where they are: fifty-two scripture-grounded entries that disciple generosity as a matter of the heart, without demand and without awkwardness.

What's Inside

Three Themes. Fifty-Two Weeks.

The book is gathered around three colors of the same calling — transformation, truth, and trust — so a pastor can teach the whole counsel of generosity without forcing a single sequence.

22 Weeks

Giving & Transformation

How generosity reshapes individuals, families, and the church itself — not as a campaign, but as slow, faithful formation.

22 Weeks

Giving & Truth

God's promises, the foundations of stewardship, and giving that begins in the heart before it ever reaches the plate.

8 Weeks

Giving & Trusting the Church

Transparency, accountability, and a steady confidence that giving advances God's kingdom through the local church.

How It Works

Ready for Sunday. Flexible for the Year.

Each of the 52 entries is built the same way: a scripture-grounded story, a key principle, and a practical reflection. In the church-trust weeks, the entry also closes in prayer. The themes are not a required sequence. You can pull whichever fits a given Sunday.

  1. 01

    Scripture-grounded story

Old and New Testament narratives that open the text before they ever ask for a response.

  2. 02

    A key principle

One clear, memorable truth a congregation can carry from the sanctuary into the week.

  3. 03

    Practical reflection

Questions and application that help people examine their own stewardship with honesty and hope.

  4. 04

    Closing prayer

In the church-trust section, each entry ends by placing the church's life of giving before the Lord.

Sample Teaching

A Glimpse of the Week's Work

Two entries, as they stand in the book.
Enough to sense the tone, the exegesis, and the pastoral weight.

Luke 21:1–4

The Widow's Mite

God measures giving by what we keep, not what we give.

In the temple courts, Jesus watched the wealthy give from abundance — and a widow give from her life. The lesson is not the size of the gift, but the cost of the heart that offers it.

John 6:1–13

The Boy with Five Loaves and Two Fish

Small offerings become great in Jesus's hands.

A child's lunch could not feed a hillside. Placed in Jesus's hands, it became more than enough. What we bring is not measured by our capacity, but by His.

About the Author

Mark Tennant

Mark Tennant

Husband • Father • Pastor

Mark Tennant has spent the past decade in church and ministry leadership, currently serving in pastoral and executive leadership within the local church. His approach to ministry development is shaped by a deeply personal calling: having spent part of his own childhood in the foster care system, Mark has spent his life working to restore families and build strong, supportive communities.

That calling took form early — Mark founded Arrow Child & Family Ministries and led it as CEO for 25 years, building it into an organization dedicated to child welfare and family restoration. The leadership instincts he developed there — building teams, managing operations at scale, and staying mission-driven for the long haul — now shape how he leads in the church.

Across his ministry leadership, Mark has focused on equipping ministry teams, strengthening operations, and empowering believers to actively live out their faith. Central to his leadership philosophy is creating a vibrant culture of generosity within the church. By teaching biblical stewardship as a lifestyle of faith, Mark inspires individuals and families to look past themselves, manage their resources with integrity, and passionately give their time, talent, and treasures to accelerate community transformation.

Ministry remains central to everything Mark does — a conviction that serving people, especially children and families, is at the heart of a life well spent.

Mark Tennant is the author of Stewardship Framework: A 52-Week Journey of Generosity, a ministry tool written for pastors and church leaders who want to teach giving as discipleship.
